Thursday, March 02, 2006 My day in a nutshell and Men Part II

Well the electrician was suppose to be there at the trailer between 4-5pm yesterday. After the fiasco on Tuesday, I was not sure how things would play out. I couldn't be there at the 4-5pm time frame because J.R. had a ballet at 530. I ended up having Big Daddy come home at 4:00 today. Will get into the reasons later. So after doing with him, I left with J.R. to the trailer at 4:45. I call the electricity place to see what was going on and if they had any news what was going on. She said he wasn't there yet and the time frame was 4-5pm so he should be on his way.

At 515, still no electrician. I left the trailer and took J.R. to ballet and came back. Still no Electrician. I called at 5:35. She tells me he was sitting in traffic in Lorton. ??? What? I thought he was going to be there soon. So I wait, wait, wait. The lady's younger brother is driving me crazy asking me over and over, is the electrician coming? Where is he? I don't think he is going to come. Did you know: this and this and this is wrong, are you going to fix it? (whole nother vent) So, 6:15, still no electrician. As I was getting in my truck to leave and get my girl from ballet. As I was leaving, guess who shows up? Yep Electricity guy. Show him what needs to be done and leave. So in a nutshell, everything is fixed and I am out $180. At least now I can wipe my hands of it go on with my life.

So Big Daddy really really pushed my buttons. I am so tired of him not being involved, but wanting to, and not making any contributions in things he wants to be a part of. So I made him come home at 4. I made the decision for him on when to come home. The only reason I caved because I called Home Depot and they did not have my measurements on file, and as I said before, this flooring was going off sale that day. Hence the urgency. So I wanted him home to make my measurments. He gives me attitude the whole time. I was livid when I left at him. And wouldn't you know, I get a call from Home Depot that my measurements came in while I was in the trailer. I was able to get my floors yesterday, and their measurements and amount of boxes was right on target with what I came up with.

But atlas, Big Daddy redeemed himself. He cleaned my van while I was out at the trailer. It is all purty inside now. I was surprised when I took it from him at Home Depot. I told him that cleaning my van made me feel all warm inside and he has payment due when we get the chance. So all in all, I ended up being a happy woman at the end of the night.
